We have seen many different waves of bike share emerging over the past few years; some variations more successful than others. However, with the growing rates of cycling seen across the UK in response to Coivid-19, as well as the need for making our cities more sustainable and environmentally minded, bike share as a form of personal mobility has never been more relevant. Join us for an engaging session about the role of bike share in our society looking to the future.

Speakers include:

Graeme Sherriff, Nick Davies, Mags Adams and Luke Blazejewski, University of Salford, who will be discussing the findings from their new study ‘From Mobike to no bike in Greater Manchester: Using the capabilities approach to explore Europe’s first wave of dockless bike share’.

Jimmy Hall, Transport for Greater Manchester, who is going to give an overview of Greater Manchester’s future bike share scheme.

The event is finished.
