All of the day

The conference .

The URBAN FUTURE global conference is Europe’s largest event for sustainable cities. It’s the place to meet the most passionate and inspiring CityChangers from all over the world.

Cities are key to a sustainable future of our planet. Massive changes are necessary to fight climate change and social inequalities. But is technology really the most relevant solution to driving change?

We are convinced that it’s all about the people. Active, passionate and visionary decision makers – we call them CityChangers – are the ones who can make our cities more sustainable.

Thematic focus .

The focus areas are changing slightly from year to year, taking into consideration all the inputs we get from local and international stakeholders when asked about their current high priority urban issues.

• MOBILITY: Should we have influencers driving e-buses in order to make public transport more attractive and get cars off streets? Are distribution hubs a viable option for last mile delivery? Let’s hear some creative and economic solutions to reorganising city logistics.

• WATER : Whether there is too little of it or too much, managing water calls for new decision-making and collaboration across departments, disciplines and businesses. We are going to see how water is used most efficiently and how cities are made stormwater proof.

• DISTRICTS : People identify with their neighbourhoods. Learn from those who have successfully revitalised their districts, developed brownfield land and greened the city for the greater good.

• LEADERSHIP : Any project’s success depends on leaders who are able to inspire their team, span boundaries, build trust and push things forward. Let’s listen to and connect with some of the coolest urban leaders around.
