DESCRIPTION:This SEEV4-City webinar will focus on how electromobility can be further boosted in Europe with the support of renewable energy sources and the smart and efficient use of energy infrastructures.\nThe project will provide regulatory and policy recommendations which will be presented here.\nFrom Operational Pilot insights to SUMEPs – why and how do we need more integration of Mobility, Energy and Grid planning?\nRichard Kotter – University of Northumbria\nNewcastle\nRichard will focus on suggestions for policy recommendations that have emerged from the SEEV4-City partners, and how SEEV4-City is processing these into wider policy recommendations. It will also do so in the context of Business Models that need to underpin but also need to be helped by a range of policies.\nRoadmap towards a climate neutral city \nJaap Burger – EV Charging Strategy Advisor Art van der Giessen – Program manager of Solar Energy City of Amsterdam\ne-Mobility work and policies in Leicester.\nChris Randall – Transport Strategy Officer, Planning, Development & Transportation Leicester City Council\nChris will cover: policy reasons for promoting e-mobility to improve air quality and reduce carbon emissions, early work on public facing chargers and the introduction of EVs to the council fleet; National policy updates concerning e-mobility; current work on bi-directional charging, on-street charging in residential areas and eTaxis; Leicester’s declaration of a Climate Emergency; developing Leicester’s new Local Transport Plan – emobility in the wider policy context; future work including introducing\nelectric buses on Park & Ride operations, and investigating solar support\nfor EV charging at council car parks.\nFuture solutions for the electrification of transport: policy learning from Oslo\nSture Portvik – Project Leader Electric Mobility City of Oslo\nThe EU’s role in enabling V2G and Smart Charging\nJayson Dong – Policy Manager AVERE – The European Association for Electromobility\nJayson will cover: How the EU has taken an active role in supporting business models related to vehicle-to-grid and smart charging with policy.\nThe presentation will cover what has already been put in place to support these technologies and what still needs to be done in order to move from pilot project phase to full scale commercialization across Europe.\n
